We met Elisha & Chris first over the phone when they booked us for their wedding. 🙂 We had already done their friends wedding and also a portrait session for Elisha’s nieces – so when we met up at their Engagement Session – we had lots to chat about. 🙂 They planned their wedding while living in Washington and all I have to say is WOW. They did a great job with all the details! It was such a beautiful (and hot) day and the details made such a difference. They got ready at the Island Hotel in Newport Beach and then we headed over to a nearby park for their first glance. The first glance is one of my most favorite parts because it is truly all about the bride and groom. It gives them time to take it all in and spend some time “alone.” After we did their photos – the wedding party joined us and we finished up with the family photos. We headed over to the Community Church in Corona del Mar where we were banned to the back of the church. 🙁 Brian and I understand that the ceremony is a special time and we are always very respectful. But – it’s definitely a bummer when they let other vendors go up front to get great shots of the bride and groom – and keep us behind the doors in the back. Oh well – it was still a beautiful ceremony. Afterwards, we headed over to Balboa Yacht Club for an awesome grand entrance by Chris and Elisha (on water). This is where her details really stood out and she had a ton of fun planning her dessert table. It was a great night full of friends (quite a few past brides there), new friends, dancing, great toasts, and did I say dancing? They were having a blast which made it even more fun for Brian and I to shoot! All in all it was a beautiful day and we are sooooo happy for the two of them. Now if we can only get them to move back to Orange County! 🙂 xo
