Spencer and Brittany flew out from Colorado Springs to get married at the San Diego Temple. Both sides of the family traveled to Orange County and made a mini vacation out of it! They stayed at Disneyland during the weekend of the 60th anniversary celebration… Which wasn’t exactly the best time to go!! They told us that D-land actually closed the doors due to maximum occupancy (over 100K people!) Yikes!
The ride to San Diego wasn’t much better. It took us about 3 hours to get there! (Jennifer likes to be early to every wedding- so she was a stress case in the car!) We all eventually made it to the Temple and the rest of the day was perfect. The clouds in the sky at the beach were amazing and you have to love the little ones jumping into the Pacific ocean for the first time in their wedding clothes 🙂 Congrats guys! Thanks for letting us document your wedding day!
From the bride… the proposal!
Spencer asked me to meet him at the Broadmoor for a picnic. He took me to a spot by the lake where there were pedals of roses on the sidewalk and a rose next to a tree along with a letter with my name on it. I didn’t know if he was really going to propose or if it was a joke. I read the letter, which was amazing, and then he got down on one knee and said will you marry me and be my friend and companion for eternity. I of course said yes!
